October Events in Salt Lake City
/Happy October! I've always loved fall and now that I have a kid who loves Halloween, the month is even more fun. Here are a few of the offerings Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas have to offer for the month.
1. Oktoberfest at Snowbird
I think I've written about Oktoberfest before. It actually starts in August and runs weekends until October 21st. Entry is free and they describe it as a "family-friendly affair with activities, food, and, of course, brews." Get more info below.
2. Pumpkin Nights
The Utah State Fairgrounds is hosting Pumpkin Nights from October 5 - November 4 this year. They have eight different themed lands with intricately carved pumpkins in each one. There are also entertainment acts, food trucks and lots of activities for children. For more details and tickets, click below.
3. Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Halloween Spectacular "Thriller"
This show is described as "a Halloween Spectacular – it includes all your favorite Halloween characters such as Frankenstein, The Curse of the Mummy and Jason." It runs the last week of October. Get more info below.
4. Garden After Dark
Red Butte Garden is continuing their annual Garden After Dark event again this year. They describe it as "crafts, activities, light displays, games, and more, this is ... an indoor/outdoor, costume and kid-friendly experience in the Garden to celebrate Halloween. It runs for two October weekends. Find out more below.
