Home Loan Grants for Lower Income Families
/Dan Hubrich with Castle & Cooke Mortgage is back! Today he’s talking about a new grant money for lower income families through the already great Utah Housing loan programs.
Great news for lower income families that want to buy a home! Utah Housing is a non-profit down payment assistance program that we’ve used for years but it just got even better! Normally they provide a 2nd mortgage that allows buyers to get into a home with zero down. For a limited time they are also providing grants for lower income families. This is additional money that never has to be paid back! There are income limits depending on the county but on average, if you make less than about $65,000/year then you may qualify for an additional $1,500! If you make less than around $40,000/year you could qualify for a $2,500 grant! This money can be used towards your closing costs to make the offer more attractive, or it can just come right off the bottom line of your loan! Please contact us for more information. With rates near record lows and programs like this, what’s stopping you from getting into a home? If you’re not in the market yourself right now, please spread the word if you know anyone that could use this program. Thank you so much!
