Halloween Events in Salt Lake City in October 2017
/There are many fun and varied Halloween activities throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Here are a few that caught my eye.
1. Red Butte Garden's Garden After Dark
Each year Red Butte Garden's opens their grounds from 6-9pm for the Garden After Dark. This year the dates are October 19-21 and 26-28. The cost is $6 for members and $12 for everyone else. This year's theme is a trip to Wonderland and they have numerous activity stations that take you on your journey through it. There are performers and food vendors too.
2. WitchFest at Gardner Village
Gardner Village's annual WitchFest is going on now and it runs until Halloween. There are tons of different activities - scavenger hunts, witch photo-ops, Six Hags adventure maze, a witch 5K run, Witchapalooza, Wee Witches Weekend, and even more. Some activities are free and some have a fee. Check out the link below for all the details, schedule, and prices.
3. Living Planet's Haunted Aquarium
The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is haunted from October 13-31. They have spooky decorations, Skeleton Dives, Pirate Story Times, trick or treating, and a costume contest. Click below for info and schedules.
4. Haunted Night at the Natural History Museum
On October 20th from 6-9 pm the Natural History Museum of Utah will have a Haunted Night at the Museum: Viking Ghost Ship. The price is $13/adult and $9/child (save a $1 if you buy in advance online) and it includes admission to the Ghost Ship, ghoulish treats, viking tales, a scavenger hunt and all the other museum exhibits. Members get 10% off ticket prices.
5. The Nightmare Before Christmas at Abravenel Hall
The Utah Symphony presents Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 24th at 7pm. I love this movie and it's score and to hear it done live would be so much fun!
So many fun things to do this month to celebrate Halloween and this list is lacking so many things. We live in a great place for sure!
