Avenues Street Fair 2017
/It's time for the Avenues Street Fair again! This year it's on 8th Avenues from H St to M st. It's on Saturday September 9th from 9am to 6pm. Mike and I will be at our booth talking about living in this great neighborhood and handing out candy and smiles.
If we aren't a big enough draw, there will be a lot of other fun to be had. The fair starts with the children's parade at 9am. Most are in costume and they come through on bikes and scooters, in wagons and on foot. My favorite part of the day by far. There are two stages bookending the fair and they will have live music fair all day. There are also 200 booths of local arts and crafts, food vendors, community organizations, government agencies, a free children's activity area, and a people's art gallery.
