September 2018 Events Around Salt Lake City
Here are some ideas of some fun things to do in and around Salt Lake City in the month of September.
1. Midway Swiss Days
Technically this starts in August. It runs on August 31st and September 1st this year and is, as always, located in the town of Midway, UT. Here's you'll find Swiss food, handmade items, artwork and entertainment. More info can be found below.
2. Soldier Hollow Classic
The Soldier Hollow Classic is a Sheepdog Championship and Festival. Sheepdogs compete in herding competitions over three days. There is also a Splash Dog competition that's a lot of fun. And tons of food vendors. It's located at Soldier Hollow just outside Midway. This year the competition runs from August 31st through September 2nd.
3. Utah State Fair
This year the State Fair runs from September 6-16th. I'm sure it'll be very similar to what the fair is every year, but that's what makes it fun. Rides, great, unhealthy food, baby animals, artwork, concerts, just everything. Get more info below.
4. FanX Salt Lake City Comic Convention
This year, Salt Lake City's Comic Convention is September 6-8 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. We moved during the convention last year and I missed it. I'm hoping to remedy that this year. There are tons of panels, celebrities, authors, artists, photo-ops, costumes and more. So. Much. Fun. for a geek like me. Get more info below.
There is so much more, but we'll stop there this time. Have fun!
