November Activities in Salt Lake City

It's nearly November and that means more fun activities to choose from here in Salt Lake City. I've compiled a few of them here.

1. The Donut Dash

This year is the 6th Annual Donut Dash 5K. It's on Saturday November 11th at 9am at Memory Grove Park. It's put on by Preservation Utah to raise money to support our historic areas of town. It's being combined with Memory Grove's free Discovery Day so there is fun to be had for all ages - and donuts! Get more info below.

2. The Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters are back in town on November 4th. That's always a fun show They have two shows that day. One at 2 and another at 7. Check it out!

3. Erth's Dinosaur Zoo Live

This show brings dinosaurs to life with puppets, paleontologists and fun. It's a show created by Erth Visual & Physical of Sydney, Australlia. I think my dino loving 5 year old will love this one. His dad probably would too. It's on November 8th.

4. November Salt Lake Gallery Stroll

The 3rd Friday of each month is the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. This month that is on November 17th. It's from 6-9pm and is free to attend. Galleries across Salt Lake are open for the public to meet artists and see their work. Click below for locations and info.

5. Holiday Floral Arranging Workshop

Red Butte Garden is always hosting excellent workshops. On November 18th they are gearing up for the holidays with a Floral Arranging Workshop. You'll learn some design principles and then put together your own centerpiece to take home.

6. 2017 Festival of Trees

This holiday tradition started 46 years ago with 60 trees on display. Today it's expanding to include over 220,000 square feet of display space. The trees and Christmas decorations are for sale and every penny benefits of children at Primary Children's Hospital. This year it is at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy from November 29th to December 2nd. Click below for tickets and info.
