I've been wanting to talk about some of my favorite local companies for quite some time so I'm going to start today. My favorite go-to coffee shop is Avenues Publik at 502 3rd Ave. It's just down the street from my house and they always hit the spot. Publik has been a local, community minded coffee roaster in the city for years. The Avenues location opened in the last year or so. They serve yummy coffee, juices and teas all year long and seasonal drinks too. My favorite right now is the Thai Basil Lemonade. I'm getting thirsty typing about it. They also serve toast dishes that are always excellent. I often find myself meeting clients and friends here and they love it too. Besides this location they have their flagship store at 975 S West Temple & a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch at 931 E 900 S. I highly recommend it!
