Hogle Zoo During Covid-19

Now that the weather is starting to cool down, I’m looking for things to do that are outdoors closer in to the city. When it was pushing 100 degrees for weeks and weeks this summer I was constantly heading to higher elevations to escape. With the lower temps we can stay in the valley for fun too.

Hogle Zoo is a great place to have fun and still be outdoors. The are open during the pandemic with just a few changes. You have to wear a mask, and purchase tickets in advance. With your ticket purchase you also reserve an arrival time. You need to arrive within your arrival window or you will miss your opportunity to enter.

Coming up in October is also Boolights - it’s the Halloween celebration for the Zoo. It runs mostly Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays October evenings and each night in the week leading up to Halloween. It’s a themed event with lights, decorations, some, but not all animals, and special treats.
