Interest rates have really impacted the real estate market of Salt Lake City. In October of this year, the number of homes sold was down almost 40% from what it was in 2021. And prices in October of this year were only 5% higher than last year. Though prices are still up year over year, they are nowhere near the double-digit increases we saw in 2021. The market is much less competitive and easier for buyers these days. It’s a change that buyers have wanted for years.
