1319 E 1300 S - A Great Tudor Example
1319 S 1300 E is a great example of the Tudor style home. This one was sold last fall so it’s not available, but it’s still a good one to teach about the style. Let’s take a look.
From the exterior of the home you can see the steep roof line with decorative curves that are common in Tudors. The chimney is a bit embellished too - stone chimney pots and varied bricks and extra curves.
Once inside the living room the style continues. It starts with the woodwork, arched doorways and grouped windows. It’s also seen in the built-in storage of the era and the style. The fireplace too is very Tudor-esque. It differs from the Victorian and bungalow styles in that it is much less ornate than those styles. It’s simpler, but no less beautiful.
That’s it for this lovely lady. We’ll take a look at another example next week.
