129 W 400 N - A Tired Victorian Queen
I recently had the pleasure of touring 129 W 400 N in the Marmalade neighborhood of Salt Lake City. (If you are unfamiliar, this neighborhood is located downtown just west of the stage capitol building. It’s fully of historic old homes, mid-century condos and even new townhouses. It’s also walking distance to anything you could possibly want or need downtown.)
129 W 400 N is one of these historic homes. It was built in 1901 and the details of this home are just so lovely. You’ll see a gorgeous floral theme throughout. Unfortunately in recent years the home has fallen in to disrepair. I don’t have the means to buy her and restore her myself so I hope someone who does and also sees her value finds and buys her. Let me show you some of the potential.
It always makes me so sad when these lovely homes don’t get the attention they deserve. If you or someone you know is in the market to save a piece of history, check this one out!
